Between The Sound

So I needed a place to express myself openly. I own two other blogs both of which are themed and well this is just a little corner of my imagination. A place to let out anything I want. Here "Between the Sound" is me.

DIY Rosette Bun

This is another easy way to transform simple hair into a fun updo in seconds, and only requires a few pins.

Step One: Begin with curly or wavy hair with volume at the crown

Step Two: separate hair into three sections- one on each side of the head and one at the back.

Step Three: Create a rosette in the back of the head with the middle section, pin slightly to the side, so it isn’t too perfect.

Step Four: Take one of the two side sections, split in two, and twist both sections clockwise while pulling the section toward the back of the head.  When they are all twisted, twist those two twists counterclockwise together. That big twist can now be incorporated to the rosette- simply wrap around the rosette and pin.

Step Five: Repeat the twist and twist with the other section and pin around the rosette so all hair is up.

Since the earlier DIY for braiding seemed much simpler, thought I’d

post a more detailed one.

How to:

1. Section your hair and braid regularly. Pull out a few loose strands near the front.

2. Once you tie off your braids, pull at it to look wider and looser (don’t pull to much or you’ll have too many loose strands)

3. Take one braid over your head to the opposite side and pin.

4. Take the other braid and pull over the pinned braid and tuck the end under the first braid. Make sure to pin profusely to prevent it from falling out (especially if you have haywire hair like mine that doesn’t stay in place)

NOTE: You can either hairspray for extra hold or before you braid apply a dime sized amount of mousse.

And Viola! You have a lovely chic updo! This is my favorite for when I want my hair

up for a critique day, and still can manage look classy.
